Everything about Ocotea Foetens totally explainedOcotea foetens is a species of tree up to 40 m tall in the Lauraceae family. It is a common constituent in the laurisilva forests of the archipelagoes of Macaronesia: Madeira and Azores (governed by Portugal), and Canaries (governed by Spain). It is commonly called "Til", "Tilo" or "Stinkwood" (each of these terms refers to other, unrelated plants depending on location).
It is threatened by habitat loss.
